The La Sombre is a quiet reminder that every day entrusted to us is one we will never receive again. Long before watches measured our hours, objects carried meaning. They reminded their owners not only of who they were, but of how they chose to live.
Its black centre stone reflects both life and growth, framed within a design that commands presence without ever seeking attention.
Inspired by the grandeur of the Andalusian Golden Age, the La Sombre reminds us that even the greatest civilisations were never promised forever. Their legacy endured not because they lasted, but because of what they built whilst they were here.

- Due to its larger face and elevated setting, the La Sombre fits slightly more generously than our other designs. If you're between sizes, we recommend choosing half a size smaller. A complimentary ring adjuster is included with every order.
- This ring is made to order and is therefore non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
- The product video displays the gemstone before setting. Once completed, the prongs are professionally secured and will not remain raised as shown.
- Whilst every effort is made to accurately represent the gemstone, slight variations in colour may occur depending on lighting conditions and screen settings. The green tone may appear lighter or deeper in person.
- Should you wish to commission this design with an alternative gemstone or semi-precious stone, please contact us at contact@foreigncircles.co.uk. Bespoke stone commissions begin from £30 for synthetic stones and can extend to several thousand pounds depending on your chosen gemstone.
- As all bespoke stone commissions are created exclusively for each client, they are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
- Due to its elevated setting and multiple accent stones, we do not recommend wearing this piece every day. Rings of this nature require greater care, as frequent wear increases the likelihood of stones loosening over time.

Unlike other jewellery brands, we are proud to inform you that we offer a custom laser engraving service on our rings.
Getting a ring engraved adds a personal touch to it making it unique and exclusive to you as an individual. Whether you want to engrave your initials, a special date, a meaningful quote, or a beautiful design, a laser engraving can turn an already extra-ordinary ring into an even more unique one-of-a-kind piece that speaks to your personality and style.
Another benefit of getting a custom laser engraving is that it can serve as a great gift for someone special. A gift that carries an actual meaning!
Please note:
- If you do not see the laser engraving option on a product page, it means that we are unable to offer the service due to the rings design and shape.
- All the rings are engraved on the bottom outer part of the ring, except for the Custom Signet ring where you have the option of engraving on the top.
- The engraving may not be 100% perfect as the ring is hand placed by the technician and although he will try his utmost to place the engraving in the exact position, there may be at times small errors.
- Once you have ordered a ring with a laser engraving option, the ring will be non-exchangeable and non-refundable.
- Wear and tear can cause the engraving to gradually fade away, but to help with longevity we engrave as deep as possible while still trying to maintain an aesthetic look.
- We offer engraving in both English and Arabic characters, however if you wish for something different then you can get in touch and we'll try our best to accommodate.

We aim to process and ship all orders within two working days. For national orders we use Royal Mail next day Special Delivery, and for international orders we use Royal Mail International Tracked Service. Please also note that we are not liable for any custom charges that may be applicable if you are ordering outside of the UK- please check with your national postal service for more information. You cannot cancel your order once it has been placed.
Returns and Exchanges
Our returns and exchange policy lasts 7 days from the date your item is delivered. We cannot offer money back or an exchange beyond this period.
Offers/discounted products are non-returnable and non-exchangeable.
For exchanges you will be liable to pay for the delivery of the exchanged ring.
For returns you will be refunded your total amount minus £10. Alternatively, if you have paid for international shipping then you will be refunded your total amount minus £5.
This is to cover our delivery costs, packaging, and payment processing fees.
